User research | Figma | Iterative prototyping

We're all busy, busy, busy

Task management is a familiar hurdle for many of us. Balancing work, family, social connections, and personal interests can seem just about impossible at times. On top of all that, people have a desire to build better habits: exercise, get outside more often, etc. This was the problem space that our team set out to explore. How might we design an interface that goes beyond event tracking and helps users to accomplish their goals? What medium should such an app be deployed on?

(It's a phone app, too)

We surveyed potential users, the go-getters and task crushers that we thought would be most likely to use the application, and put their feedback to work. Through multiple iterations of sketching, prototyping, and collecting feedback, we arrived at a smart watch interface with a companion phone app to help users check all their boxes no matter where they are.

Take me with you

The final design prioritizes clear communication with the user and more than one way to set up tasks and reminders. We knew it was important that the design be flexible - so that users don't have to be.
